Interesting perspective on the War of 1812 and afterwards

about the War of 1812 and the years up to the 1837 rebellion…fears of American invasion over the border and betrayal by democratic thinking American-born residents of Canada.  This article also discusses the immigration strategy and policy after the war and its effects.  The author, Doug Saunders, has a strong point of view clearly expressed.
