HERITAGE AWARD – Stayner’s Jane Cooper-Wilson

Stayner’s Jane Cooper-Wilson was presented The Ontario Historical Society’s 2012 Carnochan Award at a special ceremony in Hagersville on June 22.

The award recognizes a person for their many years of service to the Ontario heritage community.

Cooper-Wilson was the driving force of the movement to document, restore and re-dedicate Clearview Township’s Bethel Union Cemetery, an interracial cemetery that had been neglected.
